Kinda Confused Guys

Can anyone tell me whats the difference of Windows XP Home Edition and the Professional Edition? What are the difference in features, performance and etc? I find XP Pro much expensive so I want to ask if XP Home is good also..

A few minor things

Pro is better suited for networking, like if your ruinning off of a server


If you are just going to game, get home,


if you need backups from the OS, pro is the way to go


just in general, i think that home is better

You get better performance from XP Pro than XP Home...and also get better security with XP Pro than you do home... XP Pro i would say is better but every1 has a different opinion

how do you get better preformance?


I dont think that even possible since they are pretty much the same OS inside and out exception for a few addons

i have been on 2 pc's with XP home and 2 pc's with XP Pro ( Both had nothing on them at all same speed same HDD ) XP Pro seemed to get a 2 second advantage over the XP Home
