Keyboard dead! Is it SP2?

Go to device manager and uninstall it and then reboot.

For the moment I've told him to reinstall XP; I'll see how that helps. Otherwise I'll try unitalling the keyboard and rebooting. As his computer is a laptop I'm not sure if I can unplug the keyboard physically, but I imagine uninstalling it should have the same effect.

The problem disappeared as mestirously as it came. The system restore I did do might have done the trick. Thanks to everybody for your suggestions.
