Default Key Validation Error Issue

I get this message when on a PC... "A problem is preventing windows from accurately checking the license for this computer. Error Code: 0x8009001a. " I've checked microsofts troubleshooting page, and it doesn't recognize that error code. I can't log onto windows period, wether is safe mode or standard. Any suggestions? I've also done a chkdsk, but that didn't help.

If you have the Windows CD, do a repair install.

Ya, that sounds about right.

Does anyone know what causes this issue?

usually when you copy all of your files from one hard drive to another, it will give you this issue.

but some programs like partition magic can do it without any problems.
