Just Installed AVG

I just installed AVG and now the McAfee (bundled with my computer) keeps popping up asking me for updates. I don't want to uninstall the McAfee. Is there a way to disable it temporarily?

Go into the options and kill all the start ups,,, however,, this will include services, update services, MBR scans,, etc

however,, I do not suggest even having to Antivirus apps installed,, this will cause havoc with your pc,,

AVG is trusted and true,, highly effective, and FREEEEE!!

Mcafee,, slows down pc at boot,, can work or not work depending on engine, and Updater(ftp),, and does NOT catch all the virii out there,,

dump the mcafee,,,

Totally agree with Crash .... Don't run 2 AV apps ... It could cause u a lot of trouble ...

Even i think u should dump ur Mcafee... Stick with AVG ..it's a really good free AV app.

I had a version of Norton that I bought a few years back, and I have ditched even that to AVG. Like they said, its free, and it doesnt slow down your comp like McAfee and Norton will.
