Doesn't seem to mention technet anywhere. Any one know when technet will have sp1?

It is not on MSDN or TechNet yet. I have checked. And yes they are subscriber services. IT will be released witht he next set of patches in March. They sent out the pre-requisites this month. Just settle down folks. You will have it in less than a amonth...

It would be nice for testing purposes if we had it early like xp sp2 was released over a month ahead of time.

It was available to everyone for RC and tested throughly by almost every user of Vista. Something they didnt do with XP SP2. So really i dont see why they should release it early. I mean they had around 10x more people testing SP1 now than they did XP SP2.

Plus if you got Refresh 2, you have RTM. They are the same exact build number.

technical update info and to confirm...it was/is available

technet PLUS...there were some issues with it not showing up for some:
TechNet Plus Blog : TechNet Plus: SP1, Top Downloads control

Windows Service Pack 1 FAQ

not that it might matter to some of you, and just might irritate you if you don't have technet subs, hehe
but the public all acess one is only a few weeks away, so relax

It's nice that technet has it now. I downloaded the 32 and 64bit versions and installed them yesterday. So far startup is much faster.
