Is it giving you errors during install? Or when you try to run Java applets?

What are the exact errors you're getting?

What browser? You do realize that Java is being disabled by most browser by default now and in fact is being recommended to be disabled cause they have had more security flaws this year than any other company.

It could just be that it is disabled within the Java Control Center.

By enabling Java in your browser or Java's settings.

You need to check if it's disabled or not first...

Then how am i suppose to use sites that use java?

By turning it on?!? Isnt that normally how you would use something when it is off when it is needed?

It is enabled...as far as i know.

As I already stated, it is being disabled due to the security risks. If you have installed any updates, then you do not know for sure it is enabled and you are guessing.

We can only help so much. But at this junction, we have given you all the info we can. It is now up to you to help us help you by providing the info we need to continue.

1. Verify in the Java Control Panel that it is enabled. Instructions on the Java site.
2. Verify that you have the latest version installed. Again per the Java site.
3. Check your Browser Settings. Verify that it is enabled.

Once you get us all that info, we can try to trouble shoot it more to see if we can help fix it.
