Yes need to know how many beeps and if they are long or short beeps. Even if you have the bios name that would help as well, check your motherboard book for that.
Also you mentioned your floppy drive light comes on when you turn on the system - does the light stay on? If so you might have your floppy drive ribbon cable on backwards.
