ive heard XP steals some bandwith

well most of you know Windows XP steals some of your bandwith to talk to microsoft.
It's not like i'm doing anything illegal, but how would i get it back?

Configuring XP should be the one of the first things you do. Stuff M$ and its crappy 'wide open' default settings. If you've never configured your services before you will be amazed (well suprised maybe) just how much stuff is running on your system for no apparent reason. Remeber to press STOP on running services you disable.
