So today my friend and I installed Windows 7 on his PC. It had XP before that and it didn't have any problems with the sound. When we finished installing it, we noticed there was no sound, so our first thought was - we need to install a driver. We found the right one and installed it, it was working perfectly until a restart. After the restart his PC had no sound again. Weird part was that when we were teamviewering, I could hear his sound (which is unusual for TeamViewer) but he couldn't. We tried reinstalling several times and it always stopped working after a restart/shut down. We even tried different versions of the driver but without a result.
More info:
OS: Windows 7 32bit
Sound card: VIA
Model (or whatever it's called exactly): VT1708B
Any help would be appreciated.
