I am unable to access any websites. I had downloaded AntiVir personal the other day and when it scanned my computer I believe it deleted some files that were needed. I tried reloading my Windows 2000 but I still can't access the internet. I am able to connect to my ISP, but when I open IE it just says page cannot be displayed. Maybe some required .dll files got removed or something. I also have ZoneAlarm installed, could that be the problem? Please let me know if you can help.

how do you know you can connect to your isp? I doubt an AV scanner wiped out your network connection.

are you using a router?

click start | run, type in cmd, press enter, type in ping www.yahoo.com, press enter, type in ping 127.0.0.1, press enter. lemme know if any of those pings timeout.

I pinged both of those and I got this response for both of them:
C:\WINDOWS\HIMEM.SYS

Not sure what that means??

Please let me know what else I can try.

Thanks!
