Internet lockups

I initially had a problem with this PC as the Fan was not working and she was oiverheating. Sent it for repair. Upon return, yesterday, she tends to freeze and lockup when in Internet explorer. Not to the point of locking up but eithe IE browser would freeze for several minutes or the start bar or task bar would freeze and be unaccessable. This only happens when in IE. I managed to download Netscape which I am using now and can move about better, still not happy but at least I can browse the net. I tried to uninsatll MS-IE and re-install but it was not listed in Add/Remove programs. She still has a tenddency to freeze for fractions of a time now that I am using Netscape but will freeze or lockup when I try to use Microsoft IE.

System works fine when not using Internet.

Run PCbug Doctor, PC Rescue V2, Registry Mechanic, TuneUp Utilities and defrag. Tell me your results then. I also need specs.

i can help here!
1. IE sux anyways use firefox or opera lol
2. start>cntrol panel>add/remove>on the left is: addremove windows compenents> uncheck IE> hit next/ok
then... do it all over again BUT check IE
that'll re install it
3. make sure u have IE 6 now?
