Internet has encountered a problem (Not Responding): mshtml.dll

Infact We don't like IE 7 due to many complaints against it in the market.
Bad news is that I am still getting mshtml.dll error. So I tried to upgrade to IE7 but failed in validation. Here is picture:


Do you think I should update windows from IE6 to IE7 as several updates failed validation. Is IE update possible without windows update? Provide the link to update from IE6 to IE7.

If you failed validation thru Windows update then you will fail validation thru this install as well. IE7 is only for SP2 and up. Plus your remark about the market....that is utter junk. Yeah so many sites that prefer Firefox blast IE7. But IE7 is still far more secure than IE6!

Your biggest thing is this. YOU NEED SP2!!! If you cant install it nor pass validation then you have a bigger issue. Get legit and then get SP2. Sorry but there is nothing more we can do for you till you update your system to at least SP2. That will stop these errors from occuring.

Delete the install directory for IE7 and then try to install again
