For some reason when I close out of an Internet Explorer Browser window the process remains in the process manager. Thus consuming large amounts of system resources and accumulating over time. I have to go into the process manager and manual end each task. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem or what may have caused it? Thanks...

I am running Windows XP SP2 and IE 6.0 SP2. With Google and Yahoo toolbars.

You have scanned for spyware/viruses, right? If you have and your system is clean, you should remove the windows option for IE and download Firefox: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

You'll be alot happier with Mozilla!!!!!

You remove IE in the add/remove software in control panel and then uncheck IE in the remove windows components drop down in add/remove programs.

I have Firefox and Mozilla... I just run into a ton of problems when I switch over to either of them as far as program associations and stuff... Everything goes heywire. I have quite a few anti-virus programs running and scan all of the time... Don't know what it could be.
