Hello. The browser always wants to 'close the current tab'.

Why does it want to do that? What can I do to stop it?

Also, something else. The "Instance of an object" dialog box shows up..says one is already running. Does anyone know what that means? I want to stop that as well.

Thanks for your responses

Yeah, IE8 is no longer supported. For that matter, what version of Windows are you running that you still have IE8? I would also be more concerned about your Windows Updates. If you haven't updated IE, then what does the rest of your system look like? Regardless of all of that, look into Firefox or Chrome as a better alternative to IE.

I'm going to guess Windows 7, and sometimes IE 9+ isn't supported by certain companies or websites. For example, we couldn't use anything past IE8 up here at work due to most internal sites not being compatible with 3rd party browsers or IE9+. It wasn't until our grand migration to Windows 10 that things started getting updated.
