Internal Server error

My OS: WinXP Home/SP2/AOL9.0/IE6 (?)
I am getting this error msg from a website:
"Error 500 - Internal Server Error.
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol - HTTP/1.1:
10.5.1 500 Internal Server error.
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request".

I would appreciate any help on how to fix this problem. Thanks.
BTW how do I check which Version of IE is installed on my pc?
not sure if its IE 6 or 7.

can you post the address? sounds to me like its a problem with the site not your computer.

well I can't test it without launching a live chat myself and obvioulsy i'm not a customer. I still suspect it might be an issue with the site but try adding support.gateway.com to your trusted sites zone

tools menu > internet options > security tab > trusted sites zone icon > sites button
