Default Interesting Permissions Problem

Okay, here's the story:

I installed a new CD burner in an employee's machine, while logged on as the local admin for the box.

Everything was great. The software and hardware performed perfectly.

Logging off as local admin and logging back on as myself (a domain network login) or as the employee (also a domain login), I go and try to run the burner software. I get the following result:

I have examined the registry permissions and they are all in order.

Ideas?

Nero has a patch out to allow non-administrator's on XP/2k machines to burn CD's.

Quote:
Since Windows 2000 and Windows XP do not grant access to low level drivers for users without administrative rights it's not possible for them to burn CDs with Nero.

Not to mention, if you didn't (which I'd suspect you did), it'd be smart to go to the url provided by the error

I did. I already knew there was a problem with XP, but their page wasn't much of a help.

Ugh. I installed the little permissions patch, ran it all through as it said, and it still didn't work. Still get the same message.

Grrrr...This is annoying me.

There was some other option in the user control panel of XP that allows users to burn CD's.

I'm home on my 2k box, so I'm not sure exactly where. I'll figure it out tomorrow and let ya know.
