Interesting issue

I have just installed the RC of 64bit 7 on my desktop. All went well until I started getting bsods at every boot. They related to a video driver error. Now I know that there were some issues with ATI cards and windows 7 at first but I thought they were resolved. After trying 9.5, 9.6 and the windows update drivers all to no avail I finally pulled one of the 4850s and right now I have run for a few minutes without incident, so I think I have it solved for now. Naturally this is sub-optimal and I would like to use both cards. Is there a way to get crossfire working in windows 7 or is that not supported right now?

That you will have to check with on ATi forums. From what i know SLi and Cross Fire are supported but i think only with the Beta Drivers released for Win7. I dont think you can use the final versions of the drivers.

Well I tried the 9.6 beta as directed and the thing crashed as soon as I ran the installer. The bsod only said

******Hardware malfunction
Call your hardware vendor for support
******The system halted**********

I've never seen a bsod like that before.

I know my cards are fine, as I was just using them in Vista with no issues.
