Installing xp pro on computer w/out sp 2

I installed xp pro on a computer w/out sp2 on it. Do I need to go to windows update and get all the updates before I can install sp2 which I did get their free disc?

You can do either way. Its up to you. I've had no problem doing it. Go ahead and do the cd first since you already have it, then do your other updates.
