Default Installing xp pro

Hi Im Getting a new pc with a SERIAL ATA II HARD DRIVE WITH 8MB CACHE
do i just wack my xp pro cd in and install it as normal or is it more complicated then that somebody told me i need to mess about with a floppy disk and stuff?

Yes you need to create a floppy disk with the drivers of the SATA controller.But don't worry,it's very easy if you just follow the instructions of the motherboard's manual.

Get a SP2 disc (you know, any disc that's not 3 years old or more) and it will have drivers on the disc, 9 times out of 10.

Does anyone know if slipstreaming SP2 to make an SP2 install disk would work as well?

I was thinking more along the lines of a website that sells the discs for cheap. Like Newegg.com or something.
