Hi
I tried to install on a slave drive, but ended up installing two copies of windows xp on my master drive (at two different logical partitions of course)

every time i put in the cd, i was never shown my slave drive :(

is it not possible to do it.

i have got four IDE ports, should i configure my second drive as a master and stick it in a different IDE port.

if i would have two master drives on two IDE ports, will i get two windows xp (if i have installed two OSs) at start up time.

It is very much possible ..to install Xp on a slave drive ...

No it does not need to be connected to the primary IDE..

My guess is that u just chose the wrong drive letter during installation.
Make sure u check the drive sizes on the installation screen..this will let u ensure that ur installing it on the right drive
