Default Installing off a reinstallation CD

Hi newbie here first ? of the day. I have a PC that I built a long time ago, it works fine and all but I have a Dell XP Pro service pk2 disk. Is there any way that I can use this disk and install XP pro on to my pc. At this current time I am using XP home ed. Any help would be great.

You can but it wouldnt be fully advised. The Dell disc is catered to Dell systems so it might not have all drivers and that for your system.

You can jsut make sure you have your serial # handy as you will need to activate XP.
