Ok I'm lost again. We put a wireless c card in older computer. The computer has xp and was working fine. After the card was put in, we turned on the computer and it just hanged at the windows xp screen. So then we powered off and went into safe mode. Once there we installed the drivers to the wireless card and rebooted. I hate we didnt run any spyware/virus detection at this point. Apparently this machine was mainly used to download music online. Anyway, we rebooted and we come up to a windows 98 prompt! It has a list of 5 things. We attempted safe mode which was option 3. It brought us to a C prompt saying the regisitry might be corrupted. So we powered down and tried all the options and nothing ever worked. At this point, we are merely attempting to use some floppies to install windows xp.

So anyone have any idea what could have happened? **** Im confused.
