Installed 7 and XP on sep. partitions and defaulting to xp?

Hello all, I hope you had a great holiday!

I have a problem with my laptop - I installed windows 7 but decided that I wanted to dual boot it with xp. I created another partition in the Windows 7 Disk Managment util. and installed XP on the other partition, but it will not let me choose what to boot, it defaults and boots XP. how can I fix this?

The XP Bootloader can not have an entry for Vista/Win7. It is not compatable. XP uses the boot.ini boot method while Vista/Win7 now use the BCD. You have to restore the BCD and then add and entry for XP.
