Default Installation of ME Or XP

I am running win 98 se. On trying to install ME I get the message cannot copy installation files to your computer (message SU0325).

On trying to install XP message appears Setup cannot continue error 3E6h.

I'm also getting invalid page faults frequently.

Help would be really appreceiated

Hi.
Whats the specs of your computer? Do you have to upgrade? Why not run a fress install? It'll be better for you in the long run.

Cheers

Hi,

I can assure you the last thing you want to do is to put Windows Me on your computer.

If you want to upgrade work toward XP or Win 2000.

Stay away from ME at all cost.

Does your motherboard have virus protection in the BIOS? If so, you'll need to turn it off.

Run memtest 86 you maybe getting memory errors. If so play around with different settings until you discovered which one was causing the errors and once thats fixed, Try installing again
