INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE Win2k

Hi Guys

I have this error message in the Bluescreen when I start my laptop. It was working fine till yesterday, but all of a sudden(may b after a improper shutdown) I get this message. I tried booting in safe mode, last known good config etc but nothing worked out.
I want to recover some data and would like to have suggestions from the group.
I get this error STOP: 0x0000007B (parameter1,2,3,4) INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE on the bluescreen.

Iam not sure about where to find the recovery console.Could you please be more clear. Is it part of the FF8 menu?

Sorry,was able to find that menu, but nothing happens after selecting Recovery console windows 2000.I get a blank screen with the cursor blinking on Top. I tried disconnecting the HDD and connected again.
How to proceed further.?
