Default I'm under attack

I was casually posting on these forums then my security stoped an attack on my computer. It was from 216.240.134.74 are there any common programs that use this IP I am un aware of or is it some bastard hacker try to break in.

Last time I checked it does not have anything to do with the IP. It has more to do with what port/protocol that is being accessed. But you probably already knew that.

True but if it was an attack knowing the IP will help me trace him.
