Unhappy I'm guilty about Kazaa

I'm guilty abt using P2P programs such as Kazaa. Is it legal to download music from there? Isn't it like stealing from music stores?

Does anyone know where i can download free music without feeling guilty about its legality?

this is a very serious matter for me. Please help.

There is a whole slew of articles out there debating the legalities, unfortunately, since p2p sharing programs like kazaa are still fairly new, there aren't any real solid guidelines to adhere to.

You can always try www.mp3.com and look around for free downloads.

Its legal in the USA as well, the legalities that are being debated are not the p2p file sharing programs themselves... its the files that are being shared...

oh! but i read an article that stated that it's legal to share copyright materials in canada via p2p. just wondered if the same law exists on other countries.

you can download allmost anything in kazza but the people the law is after is those who make a profit out of makeing ilegal copys but you never know when they gonna come up with an excuse to invade your computer and see how much you have
for what i hear kazza it's where you get most of the virus so i dont even try it

I have a web site you might want to try: http://www.messuge.com/mp3z/. I ran across this web site awhile back.

I myself use Bearshare which doesn't (so far) carry infected or humpbacked songs or what I call "screechers" which after downloaded sound like a screaming-in-agony computer. These files can contain RIAA tags (?) and people with these on their computers can and have been getting sued. Please refer to this post for more information on what happens at kazaa:

post

You asked what else could be downloaded but songs? C'mon, use your imagination PiggySmile...one of the biggest things beside music is the inevitable PORN. Tsk Tsk Tsk.....terrible thing, don't ya think?
