illegal xp

A neighbor put a bogus copy of xp pro on her pc. When I found this out I looked for a key sticker on the back of her pc-none there. So I told her to call HP. they sent her a recovery disc. is she going to have to buy xp again

If hp gave a recovery cd for that machine it should have a serial number also. ask her to install and when it asks for licencing call to hp and ask for serial number.

I have never used a recovery cd before so could someone give me some info on what all it does before I go use it
