Exclamation If i reinstall windows

If i reinstall windows what files will be kept if any and what programs if any????

If you reinstall windows nothing will be kept. All new Windows files will be written and no programs will be kept.

Put the drive in another PC and copy the data over so it is somewhere else. You can put it back once complete.

If you re-install Windows without formatting your profile folder will automatically be renamed to "CoDeR.OLD" and no files will be deleted. I don't know about software.

if you install xp via the desktop, what major said is going to happen, if you boot from the cd, everything will be deleted
