Spyware could be behind it. IE is a big target. Are you fully up to date with all Windows Updates? They did release a IE specific update not long ago.

Okay i'm gonna go with a spyware check also. If worst comes to worst we might have to go for a reinstallation.

My PC is up to date. I just ran Spybot - it found something - but it still did not fix my problem.
