IE problem

Im at work right now and i am stuck. A user has ie open, he can browse the intranet but not the internet. all pcs here just use auto detect to go through the proxy and router. But this one is being stubborn. Any ideas?you put in a webpage and you get a page can not be displayed.

mabe his access has been blocked on the proxy side. Or maybe they blocked access to that machine if its a public terminal or something to that effect.

yeah i dont think it would be IE based...if u have one install try another browser

There are several possiblities, and the first thing everyone would suggest is to check for spyware/virii in that computer. So follow this link http://www.techist.com/showthread.php?threadid=34713 and check for the protection software,
