IE icon

Can someone please tell me a way how to put the original Internet Explorer icon on the desktop. The only way i know how to do it is by sending a shortcut. Please let me know.

Control Panel/Internet Options/Advanced.

Under Browsing, tick the item:
"Show Internet Explorer on the desktop"

theres a quicker way but Im not on windows

Yeah. Find the internet explorer link in your START menu, copy it, and paste it to your desktop.

i thought that if i send a shortcut to my desktop, i couldn't open more than one IE. from what i remember, if i was on one page and click the IE shortcut, the page that i was on will take me back to my homepage. I guess i'm wrong.
