I Need help .. can someone please help me ! Most pages displaying this.. :(

Hey evreyone i would like to know why most of the pages i visit are saying "It works!" and nothing else it would just say that in bold text .. can someone please help me

umm.. i dnno . and for some reason this just started happening my isp didnt change anything it use to work from before but these past days it hasnt. my isp dosent block anything..

I doubt someone edited your host files, but that may be possible. Is it only major pages like say Yahoo,google,cnn, ect or is it also small websites?

anyone have any ideas? Could it be spyware or a tracking cookie?

I think its spyware maybe... You could try a syastem restore back a couple days.

The reason I don't think its a host file edit is because these edits are usually caused to redirect major sites to add ridden virus infected fakes. But on occasion people make edits simply to **** with people. So it's worth checking out.

Open Windows Explorer
Click on Tools, Folder Options, View tab
Uncheck Hide Extensions for Known File Types
Select Show hidden files and folders
Click OK
Navigate to \Windows\System32\Drivers\etc
Open the file hosts (no extension) in Notepad (for example, right-click hosts and select Send To, Notepad)


Now remove all enries at the bottom except for local host.
