Every now and then, I find I have to reformat my computer, so it is as when I first got it. Usually the result of a Virus.. But in July, I got a new Video Card.

When I reformat, I don't need to use disks, it's there as a convienient option when I start up.

But here is the problem, I lost the video card driver disk for my new video card.

My question is, if I needed to reformat my computer, would I need the drivers disk, or would it operate to an extent that I can download drivers?

Also, could someone reccomend a good Anti-Virus/Spyware software

You should always download new driver from the manufacturers site, NOD32 if you want to pay for anti-virus, Avast or AVG for freeware, spyware would have to be Spybot Search and Destroy, and get AdAware.

ty for replying. But I wanted to know, would my Video Card still run if I reformatted. Or would it just not work all together? Or would I need the disk?

yea it'll deffinitly work it will just make your computer seems a bit sluggish untill you get the drivers installed, i've went through this a many times
