Default I have a question, I'd love answered.

Is there a way I can disable explorer from starting up?
You see, I run windows blinds and desktop X and there really is no need for explorer.exe to be running during startup.

Is there a file I can download? Registry I can modify?

thanks.

Last time I checked such programs modify the running explorer.exe.
They don't replace it..

Least thats what I thought..

Well, in the that case you can try to get it into the msconfig menu somehow and then uncheck it..
I wouldn't know how. I would just leave it alone, might screw something up.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't explorer basically the GUI?

Yes... Which is why I wouldn't try disabling it. Even if you use explorer like programs over it..
