I can't install programs?

I just bought a subscription for Trend Micro, and I reformatted my computer. I was in the process of installing Trend Micro, but I can't. I keep getting msiexec.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. EVERY Program I try to install does this. Any fixes?

When you formattted did you use Quick or Full format? It sounds like you did a quick format and had a problem with your install. Have to do it again with a full format not quick.

I used a full format, and then wrote the drive with 0's after I realized I format the wrong partition, and installed it on my smaller partition. I did some searching, and I guess all that was needed was a newer version of msiexec.exe. I downloaded it from Microsoft.com, rebooted, and started working.
