Default Hurry! help!

i just reformated my windows xp home, and now when i scroll in any program it majorly lags and the screen slugs down really slow.
the lag is similar to the lag in a pc game when you have a really slow pc. in other words it "jerks"

the drivers that come with XP aren't usually designed to take full advantage of your video card and such, go to www.driverguide.com or the manufacturers website and try and find the latest drivers for your video card
