no the school does have a volume lisence, but either way compaq and hp are required to attatch a COA to each system, and every computer was shipped with a CD, but they used one of each machine, built it correctly and when it was perfect made an image of the hdd with the volume lisence and each time a comptuer gets screwed up they send an image over the network and reconfig the machine. and either way i've decided i dont want to sell any.

The problem is if those activation keys are being used on the schools computers and connected to the internet it could cause deactivation of the keys for updates. The school would come after you first which is probably worse than microsoft would.

with volume lisences you are not required to activate(or am i wrong...) otherwise each computer would have to be activated causing the lisence to be activated 250+ times which doesnt work.
