Default How to run windows explorer (desktop) in multiple processes?

So I would like to know, how can I make all the explorer functions into separate processes? I mean, if my taskbar crashes, how to prevent my desktop wouldn't also crash?

I've heard this is possible but with fast googling, I didn't find good answers.

Im using Windows XP 32 bit.

I think that the only thing you can do is to edit the registry. Try searching for specific values in google.
