Question How to open files from MSDOS 3 !!

I just transfered many files from an old 486 machine and I cannot open any of these in any editor.

I have attached 2 of these in a zip file.
I tried to open them with Notepad, Word, Open Office but without luck.

An output example is here:

O{J]`0 @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@4@ ~DA
(@ÖÂðððððÖÂðððððð O{J]v`0 @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@°Ð ÖÂðððððððððñðð
¨ÔÁÔ¨Ñ Ñ¨ Á’£

äå.AÆ8@ æUxp*0ðd/æ
$).38=Båå;;éQ` 8 MÆ££

Anyone has a suggestion?

Thanks a lot.

MS-DOS 3 was before the days of MS-DOS editor. It instead has a program called "edlin" for editing text files. How to use it though, i don't know.

Still nothing....

The old computer is a 486 with MSDOS 3.
I tried to open the files with all the available common editor of Windows XP and also with Linux.

I tried to open them from msdos as well using the edit command.

The output seems binarish to me.

Any ideas?
