Default How to lock folder? xp

how can i lock a folder to prevent other people entering it?
i mean people who use the same user as I!
do i guess premissions wont help?
maybe with some software or something

You can do something with the sharing options, Do the people who are using this computer have their own accounts, or do you all use one?

there is software out there. just do a google search for password protect folders.

i looked for it

I found about 3-4 programs that do it but them all cost money or have a trial for 30 days

someone knows about one that is open coded or just dont cost money?

Axcrypt i didnt understaood how to use
but anyway
there is a great software "lock folder" that disseapers a folder but it's for 30 days.
there is "folder access" which i think is for free but the problem with it that after you lock a folder it's changes it's icon and if you want to access it you have to unlock it which can take alot of time.

someone know about some other program ONLY FREE!!!

this has a free version, dont know if its just trial or doesn't have certain things, never used it.
