Default How i can change aspect ratio

I have a laptop with a 15,4" screen and 1920 x 1200 default resolution...When i play a game the screen strech because is widescreen so the quality of the graphics is not so good. How i can change that, so i can play game in a 1280 x 1024 for example ( With two black bars left and right)??

is this all games or one specific or just full screen games?

I want this option generally..I said in games because there i can see clearly the bad quality of the graphics just because of widescreen..

I'm pretty sure that option is specific to each game...

I don't think there exists an option to run all games in that mode. If stretching bothers you that much, you can force most games to run in unsupported widescreen resolutions by editing .ini files or registry keys. Go to The forum has a lot of threads dealing with individual games and you can get more help there.
