Well, Firefox is a web browser created by Mozilla Technologies.

The reason why so many people use it, is because it blocks ActiveX installers, therefore giving you a safer computer. Its also faster and downloads easier than IE.

Yes but the same can be said of Opera but it isnt as well known as Firefox. I prefer Opera as it is safer than Firefox. Opera since it went free with Version 8.50 only had 4 major updates. It is at build 8.54 now. While firefox has had how many?

I love firefox. Especially the fact of having only one browser window open, but 4 different pages up at once. It's memory hog though.

all browsers are memory hogs, depending on if you are looking at flash and shockwave.

Has anyone noticed that the latest release seems to hog more memory. I have also begun to experience some page loading slowdowns. ( and yes I use the speed hacks)....????
