How do i uplad templates into MS Outlook

Hey guys just as the title says..
Basically i am trying to change the current template in MS outlook 03' to a newer one for my boss.. the problem is when i go to attach template and click the file it says the *doc ument template is not valid.
The file that i want to use as the template is saved as a HTML doc. Their is also an MHTML doc ument in the folder along with many other files..

So why will it not let me insert this template? am i using the wrong extension or something? Do i need to save the doc as something else?

Please help as my boss is relying on me!! He thinks i am some sort of computer guru or something but witgh questions like these i am obviously not haha.

I have never used outlook before so I'm not completly sure, but I think your extension is wrong
