I've got a couple movies on my hard drive that are in MPEG and AVI format. What program do I need to burn these to a CD or DVD and have it actually PLAY on a standard DVD player? I have a DVD player that plays AVIs & MPEGs but I need them to play on any DVD player, if I go over to a buddy's house the last thing I want to have happen is for it to not read the disk.

Any ideas guys?

convertxtodvd, nero vision, winavi are gonna be your best possible applicaitons to do this.

I would also suggest what Makaveli said, but for home Video the best prog is Nero Vision, which allows you to create Dvd menus.

Nero Vision without a doubt is the best. You can use a double pass to give it better quality but with that you also spend more tiem on the encode process. With convertxtodvd you can do it in less tiem. But not as good quality.
