A while back my friend was on a big Linux kick and threw Linux on my netbook even though I didn't really want it. Anyways I went in to the Disk Management and did what I thought was deleting the partition, but I think I did something wrong or Im just not done yet because it didn't add any more space to my main drive. What do I need to do? Thanks for your help

Im not sure but maybe these will help some

You need to format that partition to get the space back. Either use the Disk Management tool or read the sticky thread for Gparted.

OK of course after I did that I didn't have enough time in between classes to format the partition so now when I turn my netbook on I get this
GRUB loading.
error: unknown filesystem
grub rescue >_
how do I get past this? and what do I need to format that partition to so this won't come back up next time?
thanks for your help
