Some bright spark (not me) desided to install EZ CD CREATOR 4 on a Windows Xp Pro Sp2 machine.

Everytime we boot up the computer, Windows give an error message saying that it's detected a conflict and that it (Windows) will disable the device drivers.

We un-installed EZ CD CREATOR 4, however the error message is still showing up when booting into windows.

We have removed all registry entries for EZ CD CREATOR 4, and again the error message is still there.

Suggestions please.

run the prog hijackthis, then check all boxes related to ez cd creator and click the fix probs button and <bingo> its fixed....I hope!

reformat your computer
all version of easy creator before 6 with the except of 5 basic didn't work on xp. it would lock the computer up and you couldn't uninstall it right. direct cd was usually the culprit
