How can i temporarily prevent event viewer from recording logs

Is there anyway to stop it fromnrecording forna certain period of time and then make it start recording again at a later time?

You can disable it and enable it through:

Control Panel> System and Security> Administrative Tools> Services > Windows Event Log

right click on Windows Event Log and choose either Start or Stop.

btw, do you know how to delete specific logs from the event log? Whenever i clear the entire log it leaves another log saying that the logs have been cleared, which i do not want.

Sorry but this just doesnt seem right. What is the purpose of not only disabling but deleting all the logs and the log that the logs were deleted? It sounds like your trying to cover something up that you are doing wrong. These logs dont take up much space and they serve a real purpose. So what is going on that you want to cover your tracks? Until we get an answer, we wont answer this question.
