home back up utility?

Where can i find the back up utility in windows xp home? I am preparing to dual boot the windows 7 beta and dont want a repeat of my summer hdd crashed lost everything. And if i make the partition 16gb to run windows 7 then i should be able to still access all my files on the other partition from 7 right?

XP home does not have the backup utility installed by default. You will need the XP Home CD in order to install the backup utility that normally comes with XP Professional.

i get a crazy error every time i try to back up my system to my EPASSPORT portable hdd. help?!
