hidden folder/ possible virus
I thought you might be able to help me with a problem I've been having lately or, if not, suggest where I might be able to get help. The problem is that when my computer does a scan (eg. virus), I see a folder (C:\documents and settings\walter\ complete) with hundreds of zip files listed. Some of them are program files, but most of them are video files. When I look in Explorer, there is no such folder that is visible (I made sure that the Explorer settings were such that hidden folders could be seen). When I do a search for the folder, zip files, or any of the files that are listed, nothing shows up. I would like to be able to delete the whole folder but have been able to find the directory to do so. I believe it's got something to do with viruses. I regularly get messages that some or all of the following viruses have been detected:
troj_muldrop.cv, troj_dropper.ox, troj_loader.zt, win32:winad[trj] and worm_vs.as.
I've looked some of these up on the web and the results haven't been satisfactory. When the virus is discussed, it normally refers to entries or changes in the registry and when I've gone to those locations, the suggested changes\entries haven't been present.
When I've done virus scans (Avast and SystemSuite 5) they detect these items and give me choices (delete, clean, etc), but no action that I take seems to have any lasting effect. I've run spyware and adware scans (AdAware 6.0, Spybot, MS Antispyware, Spyware Doctor and Webroot Spysweeper) and nothing is detected.
As you can see, I'm a bit stumped at this point. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
